Crittall Doors Yorkshire

As part of a series of improvements to their family home, we worked with the homeowners of this stunning property to supply several Crittall screens both internally and externally to the property.

Internally we supplied two sets of Crittall doors, which are the perfect way to add interest to your interior whilst increasing light flow between rooms. Another huge benefit is they create the feeling of open space thanks to the large glass panels whilst reducing noise transfer between rooms.

The homeowners have also built a new orangery, for which we supplied and installed a large roof lantern as well as two sets of matching Crittall screens. These provide a striking contrast against the traditional brickwork and will allow large amounts of natural light to flow into the building. The large Crittall screens have been installed with a flush threshold to the outside paving which really helps to connect the indoor and outdoor space making the two blend seamlessly together.

The floor and ceiling height of the Orangery is significantly lower than that of the existing house, therefore the roof light had to be designed with this in mind. To achieve an optimal result, the roof light has been designed with an elevated pitch and rather than being placed centrally to the room, it sits directly above the small staircase which leads down to the lower level, providing clearance when walking down the staircase. This unusual layout has been carefully planned out and meticulously executed by all those involved to ensure the perfect fit.

The finished result is truly stunning with the orangery being encapsulated by the garden, the perfect place to enjoy spending time whilst admiring the beautiful outdoor space. The design of the orangery sits perfectly with the original design of the building and will look just as relevant in 100 years as it does today.

The Crittall steel screens have also stood the test of time and those too are just as popular now as they were 100 years ago.
