We supplied and expertly fitted a bespoke glazing package to help convert two existing rooms into one expansive, open-plan living space. The homeowners, passionate gardeners, are blessed with a stunning south-facing garden filled with mature trees and lush plants. Eager to flood the new area with natural light and forge a deeper bond with their outdoor space, they sought solutions that would break down the barriers between indoors and out.
After visiting our showroom and experiencing first-hand our large Oriel window sample, they were instantly sold and had to have one.
From our premium sliding door collection, the homeowners selected the Knight Slide aluminium system in timeless RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey. As a mid-range option, the Knight Slide delivers exceptional value without compromising on quality, boasting a sleek 38mm central mullion for a slimline aesthetic. Configured as a dual-slide setup, it allows effortless opening from either end, offering complete flexibility for daily living.
Inside, the Oriel window has been fitted out with a large oak sill, transforming it into a generous built-in seating nook. The seating nook has quickly become the family's cherished retreat—perfect for curling up with a book or simply watching the day unfold outside. To bring in additional light we also incorporated a sleek roof lantern and a compact picture window within the extension.
The result is a breath-taking, light-drenched living space that breaks down the boundaries between the internal and external spaces. With the ability to fully retract either door sash, a generous aperture invites the outdoors in. At the same time, the flush-floor threshold ensures a near-seamless transition between the two spaces.
