Our client purchased this character filled home with a plan to improve the aesthetics and energy efficiency through a comprehensive renovation of both inside and out, whilst staying true to it's original period and style.
A key period feature of the property is the timber sliding sash windows to the front with feature glazing bars, a feature that the owner wanted to keep. The original windows were single glazed and unfortunately had not been maintained correctly over the years, causing the original timber to rot. Having looked at several options available to replace their old windows, the owners choose our own timber sliding sash windows from The Knight Collection, which offer a truly original timber sliding sash at a very competitive price point. All windows and doors were specifically chosen because of their unique combination of an authentic looking traditional timber product, yet offering all of the advantages of modern glazing products such as security, durability and improved energy efficiency.
For their conservatory, an aluminium roof was used for is unrivalled durability which matches perfectly with the timber french doors. All of these products worked seamlessly together to provide an effortless, period appropriate finish and a huge improvement to the comfort of our client's home.
