Oak Frame Extension, Heswall

Our client came to us looking for 3 different products including a modern folding door and window for their outbuildings, a traditional styled window to compliment the original property and a timber product that would work well with their new timber frame extension.

The original sandstone building had a range of timber windows and doors that where in need of replacement due to deterioration over the years. Looking for a window that would be sympathetic to the style of the building we advised on an Evolution flush window with lead lighting, looking similar in style to the original windows although with all of the benefits found with modern double glazing.

At the front of the home several existing outhouses and stable building have been converted into an office and garages. We supplied a set of grey aluminium bi-folidng doors and matching window to give this area a contemporary twist which works well with the modern metal roofing.

To the rear of the property a series of stunning timber frame extensions have been created to enhance the space on offer and give a more open plan feeling to the downstairs living areas. The new extensions have created lots of opportunity for glass to be installed within the property. When purchasing the home the homeowners always knew they wanted to take advantage of the fantastic views and had always loved the idea of an timber frame extension.

We worked with the homeowners to find a window system that would compliment the external Oak timber. After considering several options the homeowners decided on a Rationel window which works extremely well with the Oak as the core of the product is timber and has an external aluminium capping which has been finished ina light green colour which will compliment the beautiful silver colour that the Oak frame will adopt over time. The external aluminium capping also offers a level of protection to the window which is idea given the exposed position of the home.
