Rationel Alu-Clad Windows Cheshire

Our clients purchased this spacious family home within an extremely popular village in Cheshire. The home whilst structurally sound required a series of updates to bring it into the 21st century.

Many of the rooms have been updated with new interior furnishings with the main kitchen/living area having some structural alterations and a complete overhaul to create the perfect family living space. As part of the new kitchen/living area some of the windows and door opening where altered to bring in extra light into the space and improve the indoor/outdoor flow. These alterations meant that new windows and doors would be required and after visiting our showroom the homeowners decided on Rationel alu-clad windows as the internal and external look of the product sits perfectly with the period look to the home externally and the contemporary finish of the interior. The Aluminum capping externally also has the added benefit of giving a low maintenance finish which is ideal for busy family life, the timber core achieves much better U value than that found on standard UPVC windows.

The main kitchen/living area features a set a french doors, a sliding door and a large single pane window offering lots of views to the outside including the spectacular rear garden and flooding the interior with lots of natural light. Choosing a sliding door over a set of bi-fold doors allows larger panes of glass to be used which enhances the external view further as there is less obstruction to the view enhancing the indoor/outdoor flow further.

Throughout the main house the majority of the windows have been replaced with a slightly more modern design to the original windows. The alu-clad timber windows have a very similar look externally to traditional flush timber windows, for this installation we have worked with the client on the overall design and have gone with a consistent look by splitting the windows into either 3 or 4 pane sections with no horizontal glazing bars. This gives an almost consistent sized window pane to all of the windows which is aesthetically pleasing and fits well with the house style.

We look forward to returning to this property for phase two where we will be replacing the remaining windows and the client will be having the rear of the house rendered.
