Crittall Shop Front, Prescot

As part of a £3.1m heritage-led regeneration project Prescot town centre in undergoing renovation to many of its Historic properties.

Gary Usher of the Elite Bistros Group had set his sights on opening a new crowdfunded Bistro in the hearth of Prescot town centre. The plan was to convert a tired disused Bet Fred shop front into a stunning Bistro.

The Bistro is located in one of the historic buildings that was set to be restored as part of the heritage regeneration project meaning that the building must be renovated in a sympathetic way, ensuring the shop front was restored to match the original as closely as possible.

We worked with The Elite Bistros group to supply and install a Cold Formed Steel entrance from Crittall which was designed and manufactured in the same way that the original shop front would have been manufactured when the building was originally built.

The slim and industrial look of the steel glazing bars on the new shopfront suit the building perfectly and look as though they could have been made when the building was first constructed.

Pinion was featured the Channel 4 documentary “The Rebel Chef”.
