John Knight Glass were chosen to supply and install all windows and doors for a new Grand Designs style development on the England and Wales border. The brief was to work closely with the Architect and Builder in order to deliver and install all windows and doors to meet the builders strict schedule and to achieve the overall U values specified by the architect.
The build features grey RAL(7016) Internorm Aluminium clad timber windows and doors with triple glazing throughout a great choice as our clients wanted to achieve passive house standard efficiency.
Prestigious development Treetops on the outskirts of Cheshire features a large 4 bedroom property with expansive open plan living spaces completed by GM Home Builders. This property has been developed with a high specification throughout and the glazing is no exception. Internorm windows and doors were chosen for the majority of glazing throughout this build due to their high specification. Thanks to the aluminium clad timber structure, these windows worked perfectly with the design of the house. The design of the windows included white timber internally for a soft homely finish and grey RAL 7016 aluminium on the exterior, achieving a hard architectural statement externally with triple glazing for ultimate energy efficiency.
When our clients saw the stunning views of the Welsh mountains, they knew this single story bungalow was the perfect project that would become their future forever home. Once purchased and with a vision in their mind's eye, they completely redesigned and developed the property, adding an extra floor, glass viewing gallery and pod, balcony and a number of other alterations to bring their dreams to reality.
Glazing and energy efficiency where a priority from the start of this build, it was therefore no surprise that our client wanted to go with Internorm windows thanks to their excellent reputation for both build quality and market leading U-values,
