Aluminium Windows Cheshire

Situated in a picturesque village in Cheshire, our clients wanted to update and modernise their home, whilst maintaining a traditional façade to the front of the building in keeping with other properties in the area. For the rear of the property, they were looking for a modern contemporary update with a large, open plan, light filled living area.

We worked with the client to design a scheme of windows, doors and roof lantern as part of their overall refurbishment, with the client choosing; timber alternative Evolution windows for the front of the property, grey Allstyle aluminium windows, corner bifold doors and matching roof lantern to the rear of the property.

The open plan living space to the rear of the property is one of the key features of the build, so they chose an aluminium roof lantern and cantilevered corner bi-fold doors in order to allow plenty of light to flood the space and certainly create the wow factor, perfect entertaining all year round. The aluminium bifolds were installed with a flush floor threshold which involved carefully planing between ourselves and our clients contractor to ensure a seamless fit. This was a vital element of the build process and a major feature of the space as it helps to break down the barrier between the indoor and outdoors, a detail which should not be overlooked if you enjoy an indoor / outdoor flow between your home and garden during the summer.

The aluminium windows, bifolds and roof lanterns, although supplied from different companies were all powder coated in matching RAL 7016 Grey achieving a consistent look throughout the build. Aluminium was chosen due to its high strength, enabling us to supply a window with slimmer sight lines compared to traditional UPVC creating a much more modern aesthetic. Our aluminium windows are thermally broken and fitted with either A-rated double or triple glazing which ensured that they achieve much higher energy ratings than the previous windows, the perfect long term investment.

To the front of the property timber alternative UPVC windows where chosen to given the look of a timber windows in keeping with many of the neighbouring properties.
